NIOBIUM
Niobium (Nb) also known as columbium has a melting of 2610°C and the density is 8,57 g/cm³. Niobium is a refractory metal offering similar high corrosion resistance as tantalum, but niobium is easier to form, weld and machine. Most of all the metal is much less expensive. Niobium has the lowest melting point of all the refractory metals, the lowest modulus of elasticity and thermal conductivity, but the highest thermal expansion. Niobium is used in the nuclear industry and in the chemical industry. Common products are reaction vessels, columns, shell and tube heat exchangers, thermowells, orifices and spargers.

We supply niobium in all shapes available like: niobium sheets, niobium plates, niobium wire, niobium rods, niobium tubes and of course custom made items in niobium. There are also several alloys available for example between niobium/titanium, niobium/tungsten, niobium/zirconium and niobium/zirkonium/tungsten.
